Are your kennels heated and air conditioned?Yes, the temperature inside Royal Pet Resort is closely monitored to ensure optimum comfort for all our animal guests!

My pet requires a special diet. Do you accommodate this?Special diets are not a problem for us at the Royal Pet Resort. We have a full kitchen with a refrigerator, freezer and microwave oven for special diets if needed. We are able to accommodate most feeding schedules, just be sure to mark all feeding instructions clearly.

Do you offer food to feed the animals or should we bring our own? What types of food do you offer?We do ask that your bring your pets food. We also carry the ADULT formulas Iams, Pro-Plan Chicken & Rice, and Purina One Lamb & Rice. The charge for food is $1.00 per feeding for small dogs (under 50 lbs) $2.00 per feeing for large dogs . If your pet is used to a different diet, we welcome you to bring their food along (please be sure to bring extra, incase your trip is extended). We have a full kitchen and can easily accommodate foods that need to be refrigerated or frozen.

Do I need to bring my dog’s bed & bowls?We provide the dishes for all guests. At the end of each day the stainless steel bowls are sterilized so we ask for ease of the process that you leave your pets dishes at home and we just use ours. You may bring any bedding for you dog that you would like. At times, some pets will tear at a bed that they may normally not do damage to at home. If there is any concern about this please leave your bedding at home and we will provide warm and comfortable bedding of our own.Please keep in mind we do have a washer and dryer, and we will do out best to keep it clean and in good shape.

Do you have experience with rare or exotic pets?Yes of course! Royal Pet Resort welcomes all kinds of animals, from dogs and cats to macaws to iguanas! Becky Koleno, the owner, is certified in care and husbandry of Avian and Exotic Animals. With several years working with a local veterinary group who specialized in exotic animals , along with owning and running a retail pet store specializing in Birds, exotic animals , and salt water aquariums, Becky has had training and first hand experience with most every pet available. In addition, all staff members are fully trained in the husbandry and all aspects of care of our exotic guests.

What should I bring with my pet to the Royal Pet Resort?You will need to bring vaccine certificates from your vet. We cannot keep your pet without these! You may also bring a dog bed if your pet has one at home. If you choose not to, we can provide one. Toys are bones may be brought as well. Please bring only toys/bones that your pet is used to. This is not the time to experiment with new treats.

Do you administer medication?YES! Our staff members are trained in proper administration techniques for oral, topical and injectable medications. We typically keep a supply of peanut butter, cheese, and pill pockets to help entice picky eaters to consume their medications.

Is there 24 hour supervision on site?Yes! The owner lives on the property and our staff checks on your pets consistency throughout the day.

How are dogs chosen to participate in group play?Dogs must have some experience with socialization and be spayed or neutered if over seven months of age. They must also pass our Temperament Test. Once a dog is chosen, they are put into a group based on size, temperament, and play styles. Our staff is well trained on understanding dog interactions and group dynamics. We offer extensive staff training in order to make this a controlled, safe, fun experience for all.
