"Health and safety are critical to us. All of our guests' medical records, personality profiles and special needs are carefully recorded and vaccinations must be up to date. We use hospital grade disinfectants to keep everything spotless and we are proud to be flea free! Our staff of animal lovers are trained for emergencies and we have a veterinarian on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week."
All primary staff members are trained and certified in Pet First Aid and CPR. We go through extensive staff training to help them understand all the physical, emotional and psychological needs of your pet. Continuing education is a must and all staff members attend annual training seminars addressing pet issues and management. Additionally, all staff members are trained in the administration of medications, both oral and injectable, and in proper management of special needs pets.

Becky Koleno
Becky is the owner and operator of Royal Pet Resort. She previously owned Aquatics and Exotics in State College, PA where her specialty was working with avian and exotic pets in addition to satisfying the needs of local pet owners. She attended Penn State University studying Animal Science and Business Administration. During her studies, she worked for 3 years at a local veterinary hospital. Becky has served on the Board of Directors for Centre Wildlife Care for the past 10 years and is certified in basic wildlife rehabilitation. She is also certified as an Avian Specialist by PIJAC. In addition to four legged family members too numerous to count, Becky has six [yes 6!] children who are active in the business. Trisha Kosut, Kennel Manager & Animal Behavior Specialist

Her unique focus on pet training and behavior is a real asset with helping pets feel more comfortable in a new environment. Having a family of 6 dogs also helps her understanding group dynamics! Erin:
Erin is a Penn State Animal Science student who is also a Blue Band Memeber. She has worked at RPR since May of 2010. Her puppy Kona is a local rescue dog who is enjoying his days playing at work with Erin.
Jaime :
Jamie started working in May of 2010. She is an animal science major at PSU with the goal of going on to vet school when she completes her degree at Penn State. Her canine companion Cooper is an active participant at Royal Pet Resort in small dog group play.
Amber:
Amber is also an Animal Science major at PSU. She has worked as a companion animal trainer at Pet Smart and has a special interest in pet training and behavior.
Casey:
Casey has been an active member of the RPR family! She has been helping out with our 4 legged guests for many years and is passionate about making our guests happy and comfortable. She has four canine companions along with several birds and cats at home. Casey is also an avid sports fan, especially Lady Lion Basketball!
