"Health and safety are critical to us. All of our guests' medical records, personality profiles and special needs are carefully recorded and vaccinations must be up to date. We use hospital grade disinfectants to keep everything spotless and we are proud to be flea free! Our staff of animal lovers are trained for emergencies and we have a veterinarian on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week."
All primary staff members are trained and certified in Pet First Aid and CPR. We go through extensive staff training to help them understand all the physical, emotional and psychological needs of your pet. Continuing education is a must and all staff members attend annual training seminars addressing pet issues and management. Additionally, all staff members are trained in the administration of medications, both oral and injectable, and in proper management of special needs pets.
When You go on vacation, the last thing you should worry about is the care of your pets. With extensive on-going training and a close working relationship with local veterinarians, we strive to offer your pet the ultimate safe & fun environment for THEIR vacation!
Becky Koleno is the owner and operator of Royal Pet Resort. Becky previously owned Aquatics and Exotics in State College, PA and has years of experience with satisfying the needs of local pet owners. She attended Penn State University studying Animal Science and Business Administration. During her studies, she worked for 3 years at a local veterinary hospital. Becky has served on the Board of Directors for Centre Wildlife Care for the past 10 years and is certified in basic wildlife rehabilitation. In addition to four legged family members too numerous to count, Becy has six [ yes 6] children who are active in the business.
